About Seoul Bunsik

If you are searching for a casual Korean spot in downtown San Francisco, Seoul Bunsik is one of those places that quickly grabs your attention. Located at 132 Bush St, inside Katsuya, this Korean restaurant brings together comforting flavors, fast service, and a relaxed atmosphere that feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. I like recommending Seoul Bunsik to people who want something flavorful without dealing with an overly formal dining experience. The menu focuses on Korean comfort food, so you can expect satisfying dishes that are packed with rich taste and familiar ingredients while still feeling fresh and balanced.

One thing that makes Seoul Bunsik stand out is how convenient it is for different dining styles. Some guests stop by for a quick bite during lunch breaks, while others prefer ordering takeout after work. The restaurant also offers delivery and no-contact delivery, which makes it easy for busy locals or visitors staying nearby to enjoy Korean food without waiting long. Even with the quick service, the meals still feel thoughtfully prepared rather than rushed.

The vibe inside Seoul Bunsik stays simple and approachable, which honestly matches the food perfectly. It is the kind of place where you can comfortably dine alone, meet coworkers for lunch, or grab a casual meal with friends before exploring the city. I also appreciate that the menu includes options that feel hearty without becoming too heavy, so there is a nice balance between classic comfort food and healthier choices. Because of its central location near the Financial District, Seoul Bunsik has become a reliable stop for anyone craving warm Korean flavors in a convenient and relaxed setting. Many people who visit the area for work appreciate finding a restaurant that serves filling meals quickly while still maintaining authentic Korean flavors and a comfortable dining experience that feels easygoing throughout the day.

I’ve never been to Korea so can’t say if it’s authentic, but the tteokbokki is better than all other places in SF that serve this delicious dish It still has a kick for the non-spicy level but I think it’s what makes it great. Awesome flavor, nice thick sauce. Warmed me up on a really cold day. Pairs really well with Soju. I’m going to be ordering this a lot going forward. Ordered through Uber Eats so going to try and eat it at restaurant next time with the extra cheese.

i got the rose tteokbokki for $15 including an egg. it was fairly satisfying but not as good as the rest of the reviews say it is. the lady behind the counter was very nice though.

Tbk was not spicy enough, but I suspect they might have lowered the spice level to accommodate the majority customers who aren't used to the spice level. Overall, taste was great, but the price is a bit high since you don't get that large of portion.

The rose tteokbokki was delish, with the cabbage and oden. A bit spicier than others I've had but I'm a wimp when it comes to spice. The kimchi fried rice was great too. Portions were big!

Having tasted both fire and spicy, I'd rather go with spicy because fire begins to lose flavor as a tradeoff for heat. Best flavor found in "spicy" level.
